Another Year and More Changes

As I posted last year, Virginia Morgan, Assistant Director, applied for a Rasmuson Foundation Grant to replace the falling down railroad ties that provided a retaining wall as well as getting funding to bring us into the 21st Century by putting our catalog on-line, bar coding our media, and replacing the existing paper library cards with up-to-date plastic cards with our logo. So far, Jon James Construction and KF Construction have replaced the retaining wall with landscape blocks and the look is beautiful. Be sure to check out the photos of the new wall on the photos page. We have contracted with a company called Biblionix that provides the on-line catalog services to smaller, rural libraries. Virginia has been steady scanning books and bar coding them throughout the summer and fall. We have asked various artists to submit designs for a logo and hope to have that design selected very soon. Next to order those new library cards with the logo on them
